Baan Gerda is a children’s charity that provides homes and care for HIV infected and affected orphans. The small community is based in Lopburi province in Thailand. Unlike a state orphanage, Baan Gerda has a unique family environment with foster parents looking after the children and their daily needs. A medical team is on hand to ensure that they receive the best treatment and medicine.

The English learning of the kids and teenagers in the shelter is still ongoing thru various activities like dancing, singing, vocabulary tournaments, yoga, running and recently we introduced the “Got Talent” competition. This trip, we’ll start the English mentoring with a much focused concept, the Sustainability Goals. More info below:

Topics, conversations, vocabularies and compositions will surround the goals targeted per trip, this weekend, we will work on No Poverty and Zero Hunger goals.

Apart from empowering the children through arts, talents, discovering, English harnessing, physical fitness for the past 5+ years, it’s our responsibility to let them understand the sustainability of things. Even if they’re still in the shelter and be on their own someday, facing life is much easier if managed and sustained properly.

Baan Gerda is our first core initiative, please READ carefully about our regulation for this charity trip by visiting this link: Volunteering with Baan Gerda
